What Made you Smile Today?

Every day, when Mama collects me from school, she says, “What made you smile today?”And, every day, I tell her all the things that made me smile. Sometimes, there’s only one, but, like Mama says . . . sometimes, one smile is all we need.

Moving house and starting a new school can be difficult, but one little girl’s mama has just the thing to help: a smile jar. As the girl draws pictures of all the little things that make her smile – from her new bedroom to the friendly children upstairs – and puts them in the jar, everything starts to feel just a little bit better. Sometimes there are lots of things to smile about, but sometimes one smile is all you need.
